2023, already 8 rigs on order!
Switching from prototype to industrial production
Switching from a state of the art prototype to industrial production deserves particular attention.
The first 8 rigs ordered in 2023, granted Chantiers de l’Atlantique with a strong conviction that our product fits market expectations.
In this respect, Chantiers de l’Atlantique decided to invest in large scale production with a dedicated factory for carbon masts above 50m that will be fully operational by the end of 2024.

Concepts
VLCC
Very large crude carrier can be easily retrofitted to install up to 4x1500m² SolidSail rigs which could save several thousand tons of fuel per year.
Fully loaded or ballast loading cases are taken into account to optimize the wind propulsion setup.
This architecture doesn’t require any additionnal modification to the ship’s underwater hull and a refit can be performed afloat in any available yard all over the world.
PRAO
Prao for coastal navigation
Reducing emissions in coastal navigation will be the high priority due to specific regulations in several EEZ. The PRAO design brings efficiency of 2x800m² SolidSail while leaving cargo area free of any constraints to the rigs integration.
RORO truck ship
Dedicated design for this truck transportation vessel. 3x1500m² SolidSail for a wind propelled 200m Roro Ship. The design may be adapted for general cargo on demand.
Container vessel
Container ship concept
2400xTEU for this 232m long container ship. Up to 4 rigs may be installed for high wind propulsion performances. Rigs can turn 90° and tilt to limit interference with port infrastructure.
